Penang Island (Malaysia) is building a renewable energy economy and investing in R&D projects that can position the region internationally as a leader in new renewable energy technologies.

 

žThe State of Penang aims to become Malaysia’s first green state and it is collaborating with the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) to develop Penang into an eco state to ensure that commercial activities coexist with nature in a sustainable manner.
